Drawings - Control of Hatching for Sectional Views

In Fusion 360, has anyone found a way to Control of Hatching for Sectional Views?

I believe that this has been on the roadmap for a while. Turning it Off/On and individual control of the hatching lines (thickness, spacing,...) and the pattern is important. Drawings are all about conveying visual information clearly.

At this point the only option I can see, is to save as a DWG file and open it in AutoCAD. Then in AutoCAD delete the "Hatching" layer and recreate proper hatching of the cross sections where and how I want it to be applied.

It appears that 3 years later we still have to deal with hatching we don't want.

Why is there no way to at least turn it off?

So frustrating,

The video will show you a possible workaround to removing a drawing section hatch pattern.  Please pay attention to the warning about retrieving the hatch if you do it.

Thank you for the tip.

I believe I'm up to a dozen+  workarounds now for all the things that can't be done normally.

How can this be considered usable?

I sure hope someday this product matures to the point its actually user friendly and functional to a base level.

A very frustrated user.

Please do not shoot me, just trying to help.  I do not think any application has ever been created that satisfied everyone's needs.  I feel it is always important to be as resourceful as need to get the results you need so I would keep your list of workarounds and use them when needeed.

I used this work around, thinking that I would never need to get the hatching back.. Of course, as I should've expected, I needed it back at a later date. Not wanting to recast the view and re-dimension the whole thing again, I found a way of bringing the hatching back:

- Double click the section view to bring up the dialog box

- Untick and re-tick the body in the 'Objects to cut' part of the menu

- Hatching is back - I hope this helps anyone else with the same issue
