This is more of a statement than a question, but after going through the forums I think it needs to be said. First, let me start by saying I love Fusion 360. It's allowed me to grow a very nice design business, is very moderately priced, has many design features more expensive software lacks, listens to users, and updates accordingly. Pay close attention to that last one. I'm a user. Update accordingly. How on earth do you not yet have zones on the drawing borders for all the sheet sizes yet? Seriously? if I wasn't committed to this platform and was a new user, I'd see that and assume you didn't know what you were doing. I've been on the platform for six years I think, so I got a little too used to features being missing. In the early days there was an excuse. Not anymore
For all of you searching through the forums for an answer, saying to yourself "Surely they haven't left that out. I must be missing something!" I'm going to save you some time.
They. Don't. Have. Print. Zones.
It's not you.
Pretty sure that pointing out zones in a rev table is an ISO requirement. Add 'em guys. You've got them for some sheet sizes so it's not like you aren't aware.
That's like not having tolerances or centermarks. I do a lot of my drawings in SolidWorks even when I model in Fusion just because of things like that. That is not an ideal solution. I'm NOT going to draw up custom borders. I charge clients for time and they should not have to pay for your omissions.
While I'm ranting (apologies, I really do love the software, and use it despite being a 20 year SolidWorks veteran) let me add another thing. Your drawing zones on the sheets that do have them are too large. Let us customize them or default to 2-3" zones like we have in real life on any not-huge drawing. Also, since I have rant momentum, let me throw in rev tables. Not as big a deal as drawing zones, but WHY NO REV TABLE FEATURE? DO YOU EVEN CAD, BRUH? You've got parts lists, which are great. Name the only table more common than a parts list? Anyone? At least it's easy enough to make your own from the custom table, but it would be nice, maybe with an automatic date stamp in the last column (sigh......). Not a deal breaker like print zones, but seems like an oversight.
Anyway, love all the design features you've been rolling out over the past year. I really do. Spread some of that dev love over to the drawing space. I'll delete this post the minute you fix it.
