Drawing workspace bugs - Pressing Space while moving text makes Fusion360 hang

Whenever I am moving a view or text, and I press space, entire fusion 360 hangs and stops responding. When I force close it and then open it back again, I don't get prompted to recover my lost work and seems it is lost permanently.

What am I doing wrong? If it's a bug, Please fix it.

Hi @ohbhatt

Is your text extruded/embossed?

Could you please share your screen and show the issue, so we can see the odd behavior you are facing?

I tried to reproduce the issue, but nothing happens to my F360.

I tried to reproduce the issue but does not crash for me.

Does it happen with other files as well? If yes, is your F360 and the graphic drivers up to date?

My Nvidia drivers are up to date. Did you press space while dragging the text around? That's when it froze for me.
Should I re-install Fusion 360? @sutherland-

I was able to reproduce it. Are you running Windows 10 or the equivalent MacOS? I am still running Windows 7 and am unable to update. I wonder if that may be the cause, for me at least if you are up to date on software. Just out of curiosity and completely understand that the Fusion shouldn't crash like that and understand your concern and not discounting it, but for what reason would you press space while moving text in the first place?

@whittakerdw My fusion 360 was recently updated so that doesn't seem like an issue. I am running on windows 10.
I actually come from a PCB design background and have always used AutoCAD for any mechanical work. So, I have a habit of pressing space as accept every now and then. Usually it doesn't cause any problem but I took this issue up because firstly, Fusion 360 shouldn't hang like this and secondly, I lost quite a lot of work a couple of times.

Thanks for helping out. Now, I hope Fusion 360 team will consider this in the future and fix it.

I can reproduce this also.

@ClintBrown3D - who should this be directed to?

Hi @laughingcreek

I'll ask @Pramod.kadam and his team to take a look at this, and log a ticket. Thanks for letting me know.

@ohbhatt

The trick was to drag the little circle, and then my F360 also froze.

As you can see, Fusion 360 managers have been notified, so hopefully we will get a fix anytime soon. As far as I can see, it is a global issue on the F360 side.
