Drawing mode dimension of arc

Hello.

I am having trouble dimentioning a drawing of my design.

what i am looking for is how to show the diameter of an arc.

i am suspecting that my problem is that the arc does not have a continous diameter, but i still need to be able to communicate the different diameters through out, the design.

if there is no way to have the program show this through normal channels, a workaround would be very much apreciated.

those are diameters, but i would like to get the diameters of the opposite sides, when i try with the dimension tool, it will not snap to the lines opposite those dimensions.

donno, you should be able to pull the radius off either side.  is there any chance a modeling technique changed the nature of the surface on that side?  if you select the edge in design space does it show the radius value?  you might need to share the design to get any other ideas.

Hi,

I don't really understand your account either.

Hence this attempt:

thanks for the response, what i am having trouble with is actually selecting the arc to get the diameter, from, when i hover the mouse over the line it does not highlight, (not selectable)

there are some lines that i can select, as you can see from the pdf, but some that are not selectable. the ones that i have not shown diameter for.

I couldn't find any arcs in your design, only splines.  not sure how you were able to to pull any diameter dims off this.  was this sourced from imported geometry?  that sometimes creates control splines out of arcs.

yes imported geometry and then projected.

but still, i was able to get some dims, and  that is where i got stuck.

maybe because i split the spline, at some points it converted to arcs...

some of the curves gave you a diameter value by just dumb luck.  fusion and imported curves don't play well.  if you had the original in the form of nurbs surfaces (a .step file) you would be better off.  You can't get diameter values, because the curves aren't defined as arcs.  What produced the original curves?  It's almost always a good idea to redraw imported curves with native geometry.  this is one of the many reasons why.
