Hi gregore1,

I tried to create a drawing from an assembly, but not able to reproduce the problem. Please refer to the gif below for my steps. Could you check if it's still reproducible on your side? If so, would you provide more information (screencast, screenshot, etc.) so we can take a further look at it?

Hi Gregore,

Thanks for the screencast. From the video, it looks like all the visible objects are bodies under the root assembly.

In the Create Drawing dialog, we’re going to select “components” to be included in the drawing, so if you click on a body, the corresponding component which the body belongs to will be counted into the selection. In this case, the root component will be added into the selection.

So for your case, you may create components from the bodies first then create drawing by selecting components.

Here is a page to explain the difference between bodies and components:

Here is a post for how to embed a Screencast video in a forum post – after 0:40” (The UI of screencast had changed, but the embed workflow is the same.)

I would like a drawing of just the visible base (body object) I want no components in the drawing as I have already purchased them and am now designing the granite base for them to sit on.

The problem is you can only make drawing of the whole design or components. I think your body is in the top component that contains the whole design so when you pick that body you end up selecting the whole design. What you'll have to do is right click on the bodies and select Create components from Bodies. Then you can pick the individual components when you want to make a drawing.
