HI @Anonymous,

I think a .STEP file will be a good choice in many cases. Try it and see if you're happy with results. I usually do 🙂

Hi @Anonymous

I understand that you want to import to Fusion 360...

You can upload following file types to Fusion 360:

  • Alias files (*.wire)
  • AutoCAD DWG files(*.dwg)
  • Autodesk Fusion 360 files (*.f3d, *.f3z)
  • Autodesk Fusion 360 Drawing files (*.f2d)
  • Autodesk Fusion 360 Toolpath files (*.cam360)
  • Autodesk Inventor files (*.iam, *.ipt)
  • Catia V5 files (*.CATProduct, *.CATPart)
  • DXF files (*.dxf)
  • FBX files (*.fbx)
  • IGES files (*.iges, *.ige, *.igs)
  • NX files (*.prt)
  • OBJ files (*.obj)
  • Parasolid Binary files (*.x_b)
  • Parasolid Text files (*.x_t)
  • Pro/ENGINEER and Crea Parametric files (*.asm, *.prt)
  • Pro/ENGINEER Granite files (*.g)
  • Pro/ENGINEER Neutral files (*.neu)
  • Rhino files (*.3dm)
  • SAT/SMT files (*.sab, *.sat, *.smb, *.smt)
  • SolidWorks files (*.prt, *.asm, *.sldprt, *.sldasm)
  • STEP files (*.ste, *.step, *.stp)
  • STL files (*.stl)

Hi @Anonymous,

I think I would go for AutoCAD *.dxf

That might works best if you want to review the drawing.

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community! Smiley Happy

You will be able to upload the file on the data panel. here is How to import or open a file in Autodesk Fusion 360.

For your reference, there are two types of archive files:
F3D - Archive file of a single design workspace
F3Z - Archive file of a distributed design (all x-ref designs included - multiple F3D files)

If you need more help, please let me know~

Have a great day!

Many thanks,
