Dimension line between circles

Dear Support and Forum,

I'm trying to dimension between two radii, Fusion just lets me pick the standard snap points. -Please see the short screencast

Any suggestion on this? -for help I would be thankful!

Alex

Dimensions will always snap to key points in your geometry. From your example it appears you are trying to select an arbitrary point along the arc which Sketchup doesn't understand.

Does snapping to the center point of the circles give you the desired result?

Go back into the model workspace.

Either make a new sketch, or edit an existing sketch that is appropriate.

Put a construction line between the two radius center points.

Put points on that construction line where it intersects the two arcs.

Now, when you go back into the drawing view, you will get snap points at the right spots.

Hi,

if you don't like an extra line just set 2 points

Thanks for your help! -dimensioning the center of the arc is not an option, the opening between the arcs needs to be within a tolerance. The drawing is for an aluminium extrusion-profile.

Thanks!
