I was following a youtube beginner video and all was going well until I hit something and now its all gone awry. First,my design is now above the redline instead of below causing issues down the road. Secondly, my grid is huge so that when I set a line length to 5mm it runs off my desktop. I have deleted all my previous projects, uninstalled and reinstalled 360 to no avail. Any help or guidance much appreciated.

we'll need more information to help you.  Can you share the design here, and record a screencast of what you are seeing vs what you expect to see?  I'm not sure what "my design is now above the redline instead of below" means.

Sharing more information will definitely help us help you make progress.

1. You should always cite the reference (and timestep) just like in school when writing a paper.  What is the url to this video?

2. You can click and drag endpoints to the red line (or wherever needed). Click and drag and observe the behavior.

3. You can use your mouse wheel to zoom out so that it does not run off of the desktop.  Turn your mouse wheel and observe the behavior.

Move Sketch.png

And as @jeff_strater indicated, when all else fails File>Export and  Attach your *.f3d file here and create a free Screencast Recording of the behavior that you observe.

It looks to me like you are OK so far (first line).

Where are you having difficulty?

Can you create a Screencast Recording of the behavior that you see?

What happens if you select the Line command glyph rather than use the L shortcut?
