Hello I am a bit new to fusion 360 (3D design in general really) and I was wondering in fusion 360 is it possible to extrude from a larger size to a smaller size? For example, is it possible to make an oval funnel? Using the extruded option?

The Extrude function within Fusion does allow for a Taper input, but only results in straight, symmetrical tapers along a straight extrude.

If you want something that slants "off center" so to speak, or to have different tapers on different sides, you'll have to sketch both ends of it and use the Loft function instead of the Extrude function.

So I am able to make almost a slanted hill, but to make like an oval funnel I would need to attempt the Loft function correct?

Well, you can Extrude an oval with a Taper value, but like I said, it's only gong to produce something along a straight, perpendicular vector in a uniform fashion.

If you want anything weird, you're going to have to Loft it.

Thank you very much! That is exactly what I was needing to know actually! I am actually trying to 3D print a basic forearm, so I could really use extrude for a super basic shape, but I believe the Loft will provide a lot better structur. Thank you for your time and help with the visuals!
