Hi team, im super stuck here. im fairly new and can do the basics and generlly get a good design out for a typical 4 sided object. THis one has me stumped. Id really appreciate some guidance on how to tackle this please.

I have tried to use the mesh sketch from plane, but i end up with so many points and lines all over the place, its too difficult to create clean lines, then i may as well print the scan!

Hi

This scan serves as a reference image. It's used for quality control during sketching and modeling.

Create simple sketches to create faces, extrude and ribs.

This is not a beginner endeavor.

You should observe that the scan is really poor quality.

You should observe that there are no curves in a mesh scan like this, only coarsely faceted triangular surfaces and absolutely straight lines sort of visually representing curved surfaces.

If this were my design I would:

1. Also take several photos of the part from orthogonal angles.

2. Scale and align the image canvases and the mesh import with consideration of symmetry about the Origin.

(Notice that Fusion did not get this correct because of the poor scan.)

3. As directed by @kacper.suchomski use the mesh and images only as visual reference (along with calipers or other measuring tools) to model the geometry from scratch.

As stated above not a beginner task, but taking sections at a time, might get a few clues from this example.

Mirror turned out a bit left side low, and I could not get a fillet on the front edge.

Might help....
