Is there anyway to "lock" the shape of a t-spline body so that it does not change when you delete a face?

You can create T-specific spline shapes that are stable when a particular face is removed, but from what I understand of how T-splines work, I don’t think that would be possible as a general case.
What are you trying to achieve? Is it possible that converting to a solid, you could accomplish it in the Model workspace?
I'm creating a torus. I want to use the bottom as a cutting tool to "dish out" an area. Part of the outside intersects with a portion of my body that I don't want cut. I want to remove that part but retain the overall shape. I will try converting it to a solid and see how that works. Thanks for the suggestion!
Convert it to a solid and cut out the area you don't need. That will definitely solve your problem.
