Delete last frame in screencast?

Just as I was finishing a screencast, my email popped up a window.  Unfortunately, I stopped the screencast before killing the email window.  Is there a way to delete the last frame in the screencast?  If not, can this be added to screencast?

After you stopped the recording you can edit the screencast by:

  • Press the edit button
  • Press edit.png
  • Mark the start of the part you want to remove
  • Mark start.png
  • Mark the end of the part you want to remove
  • Mark end.png
  • Remove the marked area
  • Delete Selection.png
  • Finish the editing process
  • Finish.png

Editing the screencast is not the problem. Deleting the last frame is the problem.  The end marker can be moved to the end, but the last frame remains after hitting the delete button.

Sry for the editing part. My philosophy is that you should never be too afraid to say something obvious. It is not always obvious to everyone. But you do not always make friends with it.

I just did a quick test and it looks like even the last frame gets deleted. Have you tried to move the slider with the "Next frame" button?

Doesn't work for me.  The last frame always remains.

I'd make a screencast to show it, but it won't record itself Smiley Happy

Great tutorial, Wilkov.    Testing just now, I can't kill the last frame either.

Perhaps I'm not understanding the topic.. but ... this selection is delete completely. Isn't it.

Good illustration. We're talking about the same thing.  In my instance of Editing a Screencast, a single frame remains in the Edit Preview Window- however, when the file is UPLOADED, that final offending frame has been parsed.   Give processing/uploading a try, @etfrench, and report back.

Yes, it seems to be deleted after uploading.  That begs the question: Does it always delete the last frame when uploaded?

Check your subsequent uploads before posting, report back.    Is the last frame parsed from Screencasts that do not have the end frame edited?    I suspect not- I would test it, but don't think I can isolate one "frame" in a compressed continuum.  Some Solution love coming my direction?  😉
