yeah. it was rather a quick guide for the autodesk devs copy-pasted from chatgpt :slightly_smiling_face:

i can bet a million dollars they never implement it. it is easier to release a totally new cad app than care of indian dev written code

Dark mode is a must! Moreover, Fusion360 is CAD software, and sometimes, we work on it for hours.

Is there a vote or a petition that we can participate in? I found something but it was already closed.

Wild that 8 years later we STILL don't have dark mode.

Bro that's longer than I've been using fusion... There should be something coming hopefully for dark mode, I mean lets be honest, what would majority of people prefer, a bright as heck white screeen, or a nice dark screen that doesn't hurt the eyes...

Hi,

Why do you, as well as other people, keep trying to make this argument, for which there is no clear evidence, instead of simply expressing a desire for a dark mode out of personal preference?

It's not an argument, it's my reason for wanting the dark mode, and it's what shaped my personal preference, due to using fusion for extended periods of time,it just hits my eyes hard as everything else i use i set to dark mode...

Kind regards

Ricky

Are you saying that you know his eyes don't hurt? Please explain how you know that. It is a remarkable ability!

FYI to all, a few weeks ago in a different thread, an Autodesk employee seemed to confirm that Dark Mode is actually in development; see below.

Yeh, not saying anything, but Fusion insider seems to have something along the lines, however waiting for full version to come out before trying it...

Kind regards

How is this not already implemented?

How to change Fusion background to darker theme

who said it hasn't been implemented, you need to pay attention to Fusion updates and if your an insider, pre-updates...

Happy new year regards

as has been iterated over and over, both in this thread and in other threads in this forum, dark sky is not the same as a true dark mode.  not even close really.

It is released if you are a part of the insider program.

It is NOT released and under an embargo, which you might have violated by post that screenshot.

Hopefully I don't have to explain that!

AFAIK, the dark mode in the Insider program is under an embargo. Maybe a word with the user in needed!

Right...

The agreement may apply to sharing unreleased features, but since it’s accessible to a group of people through the program, the user might have assumed it wasn’t under strict confidentiality. If the terms of the embargo didn’t explicitly define what could or couldn’t be shared, any misunderstanding of restrictions wouldn’t be intentional.

and plus you've basically said it as well. And under the agreement that we signed when we (insider people) became insiders, it was to keep it confidential and not release it to the public; this isn't the public (sort of). It's a forum where a majority of people will most likely be insiders.

For @wes_mTCQL9

I would advice you to just edit your post to get rid of what you said to hopefully not get your insider liscense revoked and get away scotch free before real damage is done.

For @TrippyLighting

If you edit your post to remove what you said about the "unreleased features" this can all be forgotten and I can edit my post to just "..." and this can be forgotten and @wes_mTCQL9 will learn from his mistake.
