Hi there, I would also appreciate a dark UI mode for all the menu panels, not only for the canvas. Thank you!

jesus, someone PLEASE incorporate DARK MODE, its been so long and its getting crazy, how hard is it to incorporate dark mode through your CSS files and have a toggle? it really cant be, please prioritize what your users want, i have literally been using onShape when my head starts hurting from working on fusion360 while my other 2 monitors all have apps that have dark mode.  Onshap has more functionality than i expected.  I dotn want to move platforms over something so silly but seriously considering it as i am spending less and less time in fusion, realizing that onshape does what i need and i dont spend 600/year on it.

Quick Plan for Implementing Dark Theme in Fusion 360 (Qt)

  1. Audit UI Components:

    • Review all custom and Qt widgets to identify necessary styling changes.
  2. Palette and Style Sheet Setup:

    • QPalette: Define a dark palette for basic UI components (e.g., buttons, text).
    • QStyleSheets: Use style sheets for detailed control over custom widgets and hover states.
  3. Core Implementation:

    • Apply dark theme to critical areas like the main window, property panels, and dialog boxes.
    • Test color contrast, especially for text, buttons, and 3D viewports.
  4. Platform and Custom Widget Adjustments:

    • Ensure compatibility across macOS and Windows and address custom widgets or plugins.
  5. Testing:

    • Use automated and manual testing for consistency.
    • Optimize for performance and accessibility.
  6. User Preferences and Rollout:

    • Add theme switching in settings (light/dark/system).
    • Release in beta to gather feedback.

This plan focuses on quick implementation while ensuring consistency, cross-platform support, and accessibility.

About 8 years since this thread started. And we still haven't seen any dark mode. If someone tells me that autodesk is listening to their users. I think I'm going to wet myself laughing

I've been following this thread for years watching the salt pile up... Or is that just the burning white workspace I'm looking at? Who knows, my eyes are so fatigued, I can't tell anymore.

If my public math skills are correct... 2016 to 2024 is about.... 8 years?!  I know that something so simple hasn't been overlooked... seriously.. dark mode.  Even the calculators have dark mode... how does Fusion 360 not have dark mode yet?

And, to make things worse, with the latest update, whatever editing environment you were using last is forgotten every time you open the program. I've been using River Rubicon for years to save my eyes, but now (in addition to other new problems), every time I open the program I have to reset it. Every time.

Can you please point to the message where it is stated that it is coming? If you are referring to mykolka's message, it sounds more like a good proposal but I am not sure if that is actually announcements from Autodesk representatives.
