Customized sketch tool bar buggy

After modifying the sketch tool bar, to contain the tools most frequently used, the bar often reverts to only having the default tools available when in sketch mode.  When in sketch mode, I'm unable to modify the tools available in the sketch tool bar from default back to how I had it customized.  My customized sketch tool bar is visible when I'm in modeling mode, but reverts to only having the default sketch tools when I'm in sketch mode.  Seems to happen randomly.  Sometimes, while in sketch mode, my customized sketch tool bar is showing and sometimes it only shows the default sketch tools.

It's a little hard to say for sure without seeing some screen shots, but I suspect that I know what you are seeing, because I have run into it as well:  There just isn't room in the toolbar to display all the customized icons.  When Fusion runs out of room, it just temporarily drops some of the customized icons.  The customization should still be there.

To check, try hiding the data panel, by clicking on the grid-like icon:

Do some/all of your custom icons come back?

Here's an example.  Here are my custom icons without the data panel:

Then, I bring up the data panel, and some of my icons are not shown:

The toolbar being full also is why it looks like you cannot modify the toolbar any more.  Fusion won't let you add new icons to the customization when there is no room to display them.

Normally, when you have the menu open, the "add to toolbar" icon appears:

but, if your window is small, or there are too many icons already, you will not see this:

Hope that explains this behavior a little.

Jeff,

What I’m running into doesn’t have anything to do with the data panel being open.  This what my custom toolbar looks like.  I don't think I have too many icons.

It seems like it occurs randomly, but sometimes I’ll open a sketch and my sketch toolbar will revert to the default icons ("create sketch" and "line" only), then return to the customized sketch icons when I close the sketch.  This doesn't seem due to too many icons.  My customized toolbar has been the same for awhile now and this happens.

Currently I can modify my sketch icons while in sketch mode and I have my custom icons, but this option isn't always the case for reasons unknown to me.  My current sketch mode toolbar (how I expect it to be every time).

I don't seem to just loose a few toolbar icons, I either have my custom icons or the default.  I either have the option to modify my sketch toolbar while in sketch mode or I do not.  Seems like a potential bug.  I'm weary of opening a new sketch because I don't know if my custom icons will be available in sketch mode next time or not.

Are some sketches in imported designs and some in designs of you own making?

All sketches have been in designs of my own making.  Great question though.  I haven't noticed this issue for awhile now.  Should I attach any further findings, related to this, to this post or create a new one if I see the problem occur again?

I experience a reset of the toolbars a lot specifically after Fusion crashes.
