Custom Rendering Material Issues

Hi, all. I am trying to use Fusion to render a new product of mine. It's a printed planner pad. When I map the print on the top surface of the pad and render it always comes out pixelated and funky. I've tried 72 DPI, 300 DPI, JPG, and TIFF and cannot figure out why I can't get a crisp look. The material is output from Illustrator where it's a vector.

Any tricks here?

I think its so wrong to use this as a material texture

In fact the decal is the best thing to use in your case
