Creating Horizontal and Vertical Slices of Lofted Bodies

Hi all,

I am working on a wine cellar for a client. They want it to look like the Metropol Parasol in Seville, Spain.  I know the old slicer plugin would have been able to do this (at least at a rudimentary level), but that plugin is no longer supported, and I wonder if there is a quicker workaround than trying to sketch and do every single rib manually. Happy to do this, but the design could change a lot, and It would be nice to play around with lots of lofted forms and then send the bodies through some process to output a skeleton. I hope that is an ok descriptor. I have attached an inspiration image as well as my model.

Thank you!!

don't design the ribs - design the holes!  I'm not sure exactly what result you are going for here, but this is one possible result (model attached).

model one cut - sketch, then extrude

then, use Rectangular Pattern:

Or you can use a sketch to do the splitting.😀  Either way you will have to create the joints manually.
