Creating and Disbanding Groups

There must be a way to disband or explode a group made in the parametric timeline... right? I keep creating groups, adjusting what I need, but finding that I either need to add an additional component to the group, or I need to completely explode the group and reform it. The trouble is, there seems to be no way to do so.

As this process has continued to happen, maybe I just don't understand the workflow and could use some guidance.

On a slightly related note, I have found that if you create a group, delete all but one item, the group is dissolved as far as the parametric timeline is concerned. However I have found that if you desire to associate that component with another group later it is impossible to do so (I assume because, coding wise it is still associated with the group that no longer exists). Possible bug perhaps that stands in need of remedy?

As way of a suggestion, the abilty to rename groups in the parametric timeline would be quite helpful. This way I won't have to hunt and hover to find out what the group is supposed to represent, nor will I have to concern myself with naming components based on function rather than part number.

Right click the group and select delete then from the options pick the top one.

Also if you select a part it's group will show in the timeline.

Thanks Hughes, I have done that on occasion. Unfortunately this doesn't fix the issue I've run across: If you delete all but one component within a group, the group is dissolved. You are then unable to create a new group with that component as a member.

Looks like you found a bug. It seems like you need to delete the group first then delete the items from it. You can only delete a group when it's collapsed and if there's only one item left in the group you can't collapse it, so there's no way to delete what in effect is a group with one object also because you can't add to a group the 1 item left can not be used in another group.
