Creating a flat pattern from a 3D auger blade modelled in Fusion 360

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know if there is a way to create a flat pattern from a 3D auger blade modelled in Fusion 360. I have found YouTube videos that show this being done in 'Inventor' and 'Solid Works' but zero for 'Fusion 360'.

Thanks,

JP

I doubt it can be done, but -...

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Another option might be to do as a surface body and then Unwrap in MeshMixer.

Thank you for your reply. I have seen meshmixer used to unfold a multi
curve plate on YouTube. I will try this solution, thank you. Seems strange
that you can't achieve this in Fusion 360 though.

Jon

Hi Mr ETFrench,

It is very interesting article,

although "the clue" seems to be ... beyond Everyday Fusion Mortals.
