Created drawings for several configuration inside 1 drawing file.
Update the "name" in the configuration table.

Old part names are still referenced in the drawing files.
Is there a way to get the part name/number to propagate into the drawing?

Hello @johnnyL4KW5 ,
It should get propagated actually, have you tried to save the design file first and then to perform GAL on drawings?
After Get All latest the Config file name will get automatically updated in drawings as well.

I tried on my side and it's working correctly.
Please let me know if you need further help.

Hi Deepali,

GAL was pressed and updated but no change. Also restarted fusion, clear cache and no result.

What did work was to switch off Fusion for several hours and then re-open the file and magically, it updates.

Happy to schedule a call to show the problem.

Ohh that sounds strange actually.

is this issue frequently reproducible? or only once?

Definitely reproducible.
Test procedure:

* Make change in configuration table.
* Save change
* Open drawing
* Update drawing by get all = no change to Part name/number
* Close fusion
* Start fusion
* Then get all - now it will change the part number.

Thanks @johnnyL4KW5

For the detailed steps to reproduce, appreciate it.
But on my simple files I am still not able to reproduce this issue, could you please share your data, if you are comfortable to do so? I need to dig in more to understand
Or else it is fine.

Hello @johnnyL4KW5 ,

I saw your video, and thanks for sharing the same.

Is it the same configuration refereed in the drawings title box as well? if not then we have to double click on it then chose the configurations to reflect in drawings.

So in your case for active configuration as well the names are not getting updated in drawings? Also please check if the same configuration is referred in the drawings title box as well

Please refer to the attached video.

Let me know your thoughts on this.

Hi Deepali,
Same configuration is referenced in the drawing title box. You can see the cofiguration reference on the parts trees. One other difference between mine and your test case is that I have 1 drawing per configuration present, whereas you only have 1 drawing total.

When I close the Fusion and re-open, the first opening of the drawing will take upto 2 minutes as it appears to try and pull the updates across. My guess is that when any changes are made on the configurations in the design and uploaded, Fusion/server does not see the new updated files and therefore when you click "Get all updates" in the drawings view, it does not propagate across. This would also fit with why it works at the next opening of the drawing file.

bests,
John
