Creating a curved name tag

Hi, I am currently trying to create a curved name tag similar to the one shown here:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3843196

I alreay created a cone that the plate would match to with fusion but had no luck on doing the actual curved "sheet" onto it. I tried to to 2 rectangle sketches and use "split face" to carve them out of the cone, but that seems to not give the correct geometry: The horizontal edges are angled in the wrong direction and do not follow the cone axis. So probably this is not the right tool to do what I want to do. Any idea?

Here's a way that might be easy to visualize, and will also show you the power of intersecting and cutting solids the CAD way.

Draw two sketches (the second sketch would be derived from the first geometry), and revolve them - one cutting the other one.

Diagrams hopefully show the idea.

Hi,

here's another way based on your construction:

but I would also recommend the revolve method.
