but not with Fusion 360,

It would probably be best to attach original *.f3d rather than *.stp

I am waiting for @jodom4 to demonstrate how to do this with Slicer from your other thread.

 

My proposal for AU was rejected for this year, so I am holding onto some advanced techniques to try again next year. Smiley Wink

I used Autodesk MeshMixer.

Another option (easiest) would be Autodesk Inventor Beta http://beta.autodesk.com

I replied in the other thread. I was mistaken, Slicer can only flatten by panelizing the surface, it doesn't unroll along seams. 

 

I'm bummed your AU class didn't make the cut, this would be a useful trick!
