Correct sheet metal corner flange design for welding

Brand new to CAD... That is, just realised that Visio is not CAD...

 

Creating a few parts in Fusion 360 with 1/4" steel for laser cutting, bending, and welding.

 

Just hoping to confirm that this is how a flange should be configuring for subsequent welding of the edge. In case there is something basic I am missing...

Ideally, corners should half lap (half the material thickness) and there should be 0 gap... perfect world.  In fusion you will need to keep a gap of .0001" between faces in order to unbend the part. Otherwise they will join and you won't be able to get your flat pattern.
