Easiest way to connect two bodies

Hello guys, i want to connect the outlet of 5015 fan with the fan-duct model that i imported from some STEP file. I though it will be an easy task, unfortunately it is too hard for me.

This is how the two bodies looks:

And this is what i receive when trying to do a loft operation:

As my designing skills are very poor i just wanted to use this premade fan duct and adjust it for my needs. Would you mind to help me with a hint how to modify these two bodies so they will be connected properly?

I think i have to create the rails somehow, but i dont know how ๐Ÿ˜ž They connect just fine to the vertex of the face i draw the lines on, but they do not "stick" to the vertex of the second body:

โ€ƒI would love to see how you would handle this issue as i am in the dead end right now. Thank you in advance.

Without getting to the file yet.

Easiest?

Change to Surface Loft.  Select your blue profiles, 1 and 2.

if the mapping handles come out weird, you can slide them to a required position, ( each handle must not overlap). Then Thicken the walls.

Might help.....

Yeah, the result on surface loft is a little bit weird. I do not see any option to manipulate the lines that maps each of the corners. I found some tutorials but they are related to the inventor and there is one youtube video that does not includes the mapping control.

Would you mind to explain how to manipulate with it? Thank you

The best way to do this is with the un-filleted fan ducts. However, given your extremely fragile design/modeling workflow, I am not going to touch this one with a 10-foot pole.

Oh my god... I finally did it.

I have never heard of "3d sketch" option that can be enabled in order to connect things together in the sketch mode. I have been always operating on the planes and i always had issues with connecting some lines etc.

After enabling it i could simply connect all required apexes and it worked out like a charm. I feel so stupid.

I will modify the shape a little bit now so the airflow will not be affected.

Thank you friend for pointing me to right direction!โ€ƒ

While it works as expected, selection order is finicky.

When the loft connection is odd, adding rails often makes it better.
