Still learning F360. AutoCad 16 and MasterCam user, where the copy and pasting features are pretty simple between objects/drawing (or even models).
After some Googling and Youtubing, realized that I could "transfer features" by creating an assembly, and offsetting the cover from the cylinder, and then projecting the threaded holes from the Cylinder Block component to the Cover using the SKETCH/PROJECT INCLUDE command. Took some time to work out how to get all the holes transferred and then edited to become clearance holes, but it works OK. A good learning experience. I'm sure that if I used parametrics in the future, it would be simpler to change the hole size on the cover ...
I'm 5 days into F360 so I'm going thought the "why can't it do ..." phase. Still think that transfer of a feature from one "model or what ever is the preferred nomenclature" to a new drawing/model/assembly/gadget/thingumabob or whatever you would prefer I call it would be a great feature, but that's probably because I'm used to being able to do so in a previous package ...
In time, I'll learn that vigorous bare back birch twig massages, jumping into an ice pond after a sauna, and learning the inner workings and tricks of F360 are all part of a character building process 😉
