Hey everyone,
I'm new to 3D design and laser cutting, and I need some help with a project. I have two 3mm plates that I want to join together like in the attached photo. I want to convert this 3D design into a 2D file for laser cutting.
I have a few questions:
Perpendicular Cutting: When cutting perpendicularly to the surface, is it correct to assume that the angle for the joint won't be considered?
3D to 2D Modeling: Are there specific 3D modeling techniques that make it easier to create angled joints when converting the design to 2D?
Angle in Cutting: Is there any way to account for the angle of the joint when converting from a 3D model to a 2D file so that the laser cut is accurate?
I'd really appreciate any tips or advice you can give.
Thanks!
