I created a simple rectangle sketch and extruded it. I then created a "midplane" that was down the center of the rectangle body. I then attempted to create a "center rectangle" sketch with the center point constrained to the plane - but- apparently in F360 you can't align sketch geometry to reference geometry. After goign through a bunch of the forums, I tried creating a projection of the plane into the sketch, this worked and constrained the sketch geometry, but when I went to create a cut extrude, the projection line had bisected my rectangle sketch in two. I was able to select both halves of the rectangle, but when I created the extrude cut, while all of the existing geometry wsa removed, some sort of phantom planar surface remained at the bottom of the extrude cut.

This seems like an increadibly rudimentary task - so I'm hoping I missed something . . .
