Creating a corrugated offset

I am trying to add a corrugated entity with in a shelled rectangular form. What is the easiest way to create this geometry?

Another way of explaining it is imagine I drew an open top cardboard box with a thickness and want to add the corrugated layer to the inside.

There's more than one way to accomplish this, so please don't hesitate to ask questions. The below screencast shows one way to quickly create a corrugated shape that may work for you.

To quickly recap:

1. Create a simple sketch of the corrugated shape

2. Use the Patch Extrude command to create a surface

3. Thicken command to convert surface to a solid body (BREP solid)

4. Pattern the body as necessary to create a long enough shape

Hope that helps!

Thanks,

A nice way to make a corrugated surface is to simply project the edge of a coil onto a sketch and extrude it. This gives you a nice sine wave shape.

Make a coil that has a triangle section and choose the outside edge to project. After it's extruded use the thicken tool with symmetry selected.

I've made a screencast to show the technique: http://autode.sk/1fPU8Fk

Extrude and Pattern come to mind.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?
