Constrain a sketch to another sketch

At some point I have seemed to have lost the the ability to constrain sketch entities from one sketch to another. Is it still possible?

In my current project the constraints that I had made are still there but if I delete the constraints and try to reapply them its not possible. I am only able to constrain to entities within the activated sketch.

@JamellMoore

My first guess would be that your preferences got changed somehow. There is a setting for automatically creating projections.

Can you project the sketch geometry from one to the other then add constraints?

Thanks for your reply. Yes I am able to project the from one sketch into
another then apply the constraints. I hadn't thought of that because
haven't used Fusion that much and didn't realise that was how it worked. I
can now see that the magenta coloured lines are the automatically projected
lines.

I am assuming this is a bug because all of the options relating to auto
projections are checked within my preferences. Or could there be another
reason?

@JamellMoore

There could be other reasons, but I would need to see the problem file to figure out why it is not working.

Instead of uploading the design file I have a created a screen cast of me trying to constrain two rectangles in a blank project and file.

This looks like a bug.

@innovatenate can you check and see if this is logged?

hi jamellRNYCJ,

i've sent this on to our development team to take a look at the behavior.  As PhlP, suggests this is likely a bug, but we want to make sure.  will keep you posted about what we find out.

hope this helps,

Ok, Thank you both. Atleast I can manually project for now.

I have just seen this issue has now been resolved in the May 30, 2017 Update. I have tested it and can confirm it's working my end.

Thanks to all that help sort this.
