Components and sub components active

I have a component with many sub components. When I want to model in a sub component and keep the sketch and body in that component how do I keep the main and other components in view, otherwise it is difficult to see where to sketch.

Thanks for any help

If I understood your problem correctly, You want to keep other components visible while sketching in a sub-component:-

Solution 1: Use the Browser Tree Visibility Controls

The most direct approach is using the Browser (Design Tree) visibility controls:
  1. Keep the Browser panel visible - Press Ctrl+1 (Windows) or Cmd+1 (Mac) to toggle the Browser if it's hidden
  2. Use the "light bulb" icons in the Browser tree to control component visibility
    • Click the light bulb next to any component to make it visible/invisible
    • The active component will remain fully opaque
    • Other components can be kept visible but will appear semi-transparent for context

Solution 2: Use "Project Geometry" for Reference

When sketching in your sub-component:
  1. Start your sketch in the desired sub-component
  2. Use "Project/Include" commands to bring reference geometry from other components into your sketch:
    1. Go to Sketch → Project/Include → Project
    2. Select edges or faces from other components you need to reference
    3. This creates construction geometry in your current sketch for reference

Please let me know, if this is not the answer you were looking for.
