Combine (cut) every body from selected component

Hello,

I'm making some "more" complex furniture in Fusion 360 and worst thing is adding holes. Found that (with help of that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPexwuOOq08) if I create hinges or dowels with preset components and add them into my design as linked compenents it works great with combine function. Only missing one thing - how to pick every hinge and dowel and combine (cut) them at once if they collide with each other? Now if I change number of shelfs I need to add newly created dowels to my combine (cut) operations. Is there any option to pick every body in some component as tool for combine?

Hide the target body.(Eyeball Off)

With all Tool bodies visible, window select them, (in the Browser, shift select tool names.)

Show Target body, and finish Combine options.

Might help....

I would give this addin a try. It is very helpful for this.

The dude in the video should not use the position capture feature to assemble components.

That is not a recommended workflow for a umber of reasons.

Hi @Pabiuro ,

Along with the previous suggestions, holding the Ctrl key while selecting bodies will often allow you to select multiple. This is often necessary while selecting more edges to fillet or more faces to draft after adding a dimension to these features. Hopefully this helps.

Best,
