Got the new update today 12-14-2015, 360 seems a lot slower and didn't the X use to Close the Data window?

Hi,

What operating system is Fusion 360 running on? Windows or MAC OSx? I just verified on WIN 8.1 I can Close/Show Data panel OK.

Try please reset layouts : File -> View -> Resert to Default Layouts

Regards

Question was.... did not the X close the Data window? Why would the interface be different from PC to Mac. FYI I am running Win 7 Pro 64, 12 Gb Memory, SSD drive. Default layout.

Hi again,

after layout reset, are you still not able to close/hide Data Panel. On my WIN 8.7 I can close it by "x" click, by 9 dots icon click, by CTRL+ALT+p ....

Try one of these options.

Hi wmgeorge64,

We are sorry thar you have a problem with using Data Panel.

I'm just currious .. do you have 4K display & DPI > 125%? I'm asking because we have a known DPI issue in Data Panel on 4K display .

Current workaround is to Maximize Fusion app or change DPI to 125%.

Thank you

 Roman

No, the X in the Data Panel does not Close the panel on Win 7 Pro 64 but works fine on my Mac Book Pro.  Seems every ugrarde brings more issues. It is  slow on the Mac and this is not a cheap or slow computer for any other program.

Hi wmgeorge64,

I'm able to reproduce your issue with X in the Data Panel only if I have DPI 150% .. settings for the size of text and other items on your screen. Is this is your case ?

BTW: there is another one icon for Show / Hide Data Panel ... the Cube with 9 dots. It's next to X.

Thank you

Well I wonder when I said it worked fine and then it did not,  I get all the suggestions that refer me back to something I might have done wrong?  Same computer, same settings, same program with an update and it no longer works??  Yes I know there is another way to close the Data panel.  I do have my settings on that laptop for larger type size but why would only Fusion 360 have issues and no other program?  Its set to update right now and if I was not using that computer for a 3D print I would re-connect the wireless and let it update.  Perhaps that will help.

It works fine (but a little slow) on my Mac Book pro, and the other computer has 12 Gb RAM and a SSD drive and it just sings with any other graphics program.

Hi wmgeorge64,

 thank you for your confirmation.

The issue with DPI >125 % isn't related to last update. It's a serious bug and was reported few times on Fusion Forum before.

Finaly we have a solution and this issue should be fixed in next release.

It's a problem in Chromium component used in Fusion and this is a reason why it works well on MAC or on Windows 10 but doesn't work on Win7. Yes, systems are different ... even each one Windows OS 🙂

We are very sorry for any troubles. Current workaround is:

- to change DPI to 125%

- or to Maximize the Fusion app window ...
