Close Gaps in Complex Solid

I tried selecting one of the internal faces and extruding as a join to close the gap, but I get an error. How can I close this gap? The solid is from a sweeped surface along a coil. The gap is due to the fact that I had to scale the surface to .99 in height so that it would not intersect itself as the sweep operation will not work with self intersection. Thanks!

Can you share your design (public link to it from the data panel)?

Hi

Thanks for posting. I've done analysis of the problem and short out the reason. (But cant solve it because you DID NOT capture the design history)

The reason is, when you sweep a profile along a threaded path, it goes a helical way. So, as you created the profile, the corners created a gap between (because pitch value is little bit high)

My suggestion is, you create your profile like this:

If you can re-create the model with the timeline enabled I'll take a look at it.

Is there a logical reason that you are not capturing your Design History?

I recommend that you start over with Capture Design History turned on.

I recommend that you fully define your sketches.
