Checking original Imported Model

I thought I saw in preview before where Fusion would periodically check my original model from my server with the imported model to see if there were any changes made? Am I wrong on that?

I would like to be able to do this, if possible.

Thank you,

Jim

The model I uploaded.  I thought I had read something where Fusion would check the original model on my desktop to make sure it hadn't changed or something like that. Maybe Im wrong.

Fusion 360 doesn't check anything against locally stored files. And IMHO
that's a good thing.

ok, it has its pros and cons.  At work they use Solidworks for all of their modeling and I use Fusion for CAM.  So I have to upload their file, then machine it.  But if they change their file, they have to notify so that I can replace the original file.  But I'll just work around that or try HSMworks. Unfortunately we have ITAR restrictions so I really have to be careful what I upload to Fusion.

That's a different story. Fusion is a cloud based tool. And they do mean it
and do not use it as a marketing method like e.g. Adobe does / did it.

So picking Fusion might be a problem because if legal restrictions. I
agree. But a cloud based tool shouldn't have master files ( single point of
truth) outside the cloud. I stick to this point.

I absolutely love fusion and have been using it for over a year now on a daily basis, I really dont want to have to switch to anything else.  The cloud is my favorite part of it, I can check programs and model or anything from any computer I want.  It amazes me.  And its actually affordable unlike some of the larger software.
