I'm currently following Autodesk's course on coursera —  Autodesk Fusion 360 Integrated CAD/CAM/CAE Week 2 Sheet Metal video #1. At about 7:07, the guy changes the radius of the fillet from 15mm to 5mm seemingly just by clicking the underlined portion of "R15.00". However, when I do the same, I don't get that blue highlight and can't change the value. I've tried to find other ways, to no avail. Could someone please help me out?

Double-click on a sketch dimension value to change it.

Hi @Anonymous,

 

Thanks for your post and sharing experience.

 

Actually You can edit Fillet by activating sketch mode and just double click on fillet dimension as suggested by @chrisplyler.Then you modify your fillet value then hit enter with new input, which get update the model.

 

 

If this is not going to work, then may be you have FIX/Lock constraints there, If you give capture video with your problem  then it will be more clear to understand you problem.

You're talking about while you are actively Editing the Sketch, right? A double-click should allow you to change the radius value just like in that video.

 

If it doesn't, you're either doing something wrong, or something is wrong with your copy of Fusion or your computer.

 

Things you might be doing wrong include:

 

1. Adding a Fix constraint to the fillet arc.

2. Adding dimensions or other constraints to the adjacent straight lines that would prevent them from adjusting to a new fillet arc radius.

3. Other stuff in the same vein as #1 or #2...stuff that somehow restricts the necessary adjustment of any part of the sketch that would need to adjust when the fillet arc radius does.

At the risk of reviving a dead thread...

I have a similar question- in my case, I created a body by extruding a rectangle. I selected edges of the extruded rectangle and created a fillet on that edge. If you go back to the sketch, it's a simple square-cornered rectangle, no fillet to edit. In the 3D view, I can select the fillet surface, but can't seem to edit the radius of the fillet. Have I, uh, cornered myself (pun intended) by creating the fillet on the edge of the body?

You can either right-click on the fillet and select "Edit Feature" from the menu or double-click the fillet feature in your timeline. You can then change the radius value in the resulting dialogue box.

Sketch>Fillet (used in a sketch) and Create>Fillet (used on a body) are two different things. The first rounds off the intersection of two sketch lines. The second rounds off the intersection EDGE of two body SURFACES.

 

Fusion is parametric. It defines a shape based on the actions you took to create that shape. If you did Create>Fillet on a body AFTER you sketched a rectangle and extruded a rectangle, then that's how the body is defined. The Create>Fillet that came AFTER the sketch doesn't change the sketch, it changes the body that came later.

 

I hope that made sense.
