Changing the centre of rotation of a revolute join t

I am designing a fold up scenic flat, and need to animate the folding joints - see image.  I can join the legs to the back along their edges, and then offset the joint to place the legs in the correct place with a revolute joint.  The problem is that the centre of rotation of the joint remains on the original axis, ( the edges) not on the offset one.  Does anyone know how to move the centre of rotation so that I can animate the joint correctly?

Take a look at my quick model to illustrate the solution to your revolve Joint problem.  As you watch the video, please not the orientation of the Joint Origin Z-Axis (blue) and the corresponding Joint pick on the Revolve Joint.  Sorry for the slight miscues in the video.  The Forum users will still be happy to take a look at your model if you post it.

Thanks John, that all makes complete sense.  However, when I try it, I cannot get the Joint Origin to snap anywhere: I have tried it on bodies and components with no effect.  I have tried different Selection Priorities (I imagine Edge Priority is the one), again with no effect.  I have two seats on Fusion - a personal hobbist one (Mac) and a full commercial one (Windows) and this does not work on either, and they are both up to date.  What am I missing?

Got it John!  I was trying to apply a Joint Origin onto an imported component: my usual workflow involves creating each component separately, and then assembling them in a new design.  Putting the Joint Origin on the original component works a treat!  It is then available in the updated assembly file.

Many thanks for your help.  Tom
