Changing position of the 3D component after a rectangular pattern is created does not move the rest of the objects

Hello,
I am new to Fusion 360 and I'm looking to better understand how to update the first object in my rectangular pattern so that all objects in the rectangular pattern update their position after the base object moves.
Here is what I'm doing:
1. I bring in a 3D object that is an assembly of two parts.
2. I place it in space
3. I create a rectangular pattern for 3D objects on a 4x4 grid
4. They spread out on the grid and look great!
Now, I wanted to move the base/anchor component AND have all of the objects based on that to move with the updated anchor point.
5. I move the base object .
6. After moving the object the rest of the rectangular pattern stays in the same place and does not update to follow the change in location of the initial anchor component.
7. I go to edit the rectangular pattern to adjust the object that is the base object
8. It then shows the same object, but in the old position
9. I could not find a way to select the moved base component.
How can I move the anchor object and have the other object update their position automatically?
Any thoughts or help here would be greatly appreciated as right now my only solution is to delete the pattern and recreate it... and this is takes a long time and has other side effects on the overall project.
Thanks,
Brett
