How to design a center hub cap with fluted/scalloped edges

I am trying to design a center hub cap to replace my broken ones, it looks almost exactly like the picture below. I'm trying to figure out a strategy for creating the fluted or scalloped edges you see here. I'm brand new to fusion 360, but I have done a center hubcap tutorial from youtube, so I understand how to use offset planes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did not have any dimensions so it may be a little off and my method may not be the best in the world but here it is.  The stylized letter in the center can be added if you supply it.

Wow, that's beautiful, and exactly what I was going for, but I still don't know how to do it. I was hoping I could get some instruction on how to do it for myself. I will need to get it to the proper dimensions, and then add the little retaining tabs to the back before I can upload it for 3D Printing.

As I said my method is not probably the best method but it gets the job done.  Use the attached Screencast and my model to step through the process I used.  If you really get hung up, send me your model and I will help you out.  I will caution you that sometimes the surface Trim command can be somewhat difficult but be patient.  Select the cutting surface and then the surface you want to trim and it will work for you.

Hi John,

WOW! that is better than any tutorial I've ever seen on YouTube. You should start doing tutorials on YouTube. Your approach is very clear, you're not going too fast, and I can clearly follow every process you used. This is extremely helpful. I am pretty sure I can get the hubcap designed now. I will send you my model once I'm finished if you are interested.

Kind regards,

Jerry

At the bottom of my replies, you will see a link to my Blog.  Most of my Blog articles include a YouTube video but not all.  I will caution you, most of my articles are on "specialized" topics for Fusion 360 and other Autodesk applications so it may not suit you if you are just beginning to understand Fusion 360.

Thank you John, I will glean as much from it as I can, and again, I really appreciate this.
