Change sketch's offset operation to something else

Hi,

I tried searching, but couldn't quite get the case I have.

Let's say I have simple sketch that has only one square. I then make new square inside it using offset - tool. I'll then keep editing the sketch, but at some point I notice that it would be better if that second square, created with offset - tool, would be rectangle instead. 

So my question is how do I/what is the proper way to change that offset - command so that it's no longer offset, but that I can edit the object created with offset - tool freely? Or is that even possible? I mean I could just draw another rectangle, but then I'd lose all the references I've made to that old object.

Just select the offset icon and delete. Note after deleting the offset the square will be totally unconstrained.

there is one more way to do this that adds a tiny bit more value.  Certain sketch modification commands (rotate, scale) cannot preserve the offset relationship, so they dissolve it.  As part of that process, Fusion goes through and tries to infer relationships between the source and destination geometry, and apply appropriate constraints (parallel, concentric, etc).  So, a quick way to get rid of the offset, but preserve some of the design intent of the offset is to scale the original + offset by 1.0...

We really should support a "Break Link" type operation on offset that runs through this same logic, but that does not exist today.

@jeff_strater  Just selecting the offset icon and deleting does the same. What I meant by totally unconstrained was the offset's position and size would be unconstrained.

Here the outer profile was an offset, just deleting the offset constraint auto generates the parallel, consentric and tangent constraints.

Oh my, yes, you are correct, @HughesTooling .  I swear I tried that out this morning, and did not get those constraints.  Must have been pre-coffee...  Please ignore my silly workaround.
