Chain Selection causes unwanted selection

Hey all,

So, i've take the time to go back and start redoing most of my designs by drawing everything out, but i'm still getting this weird selection behavior.  In this latest version, I select the bottom layer of one of my letters, (every other letter/carve out works fine) however, just this one letter, causes everything to select.  I don't know if there is a ghost layer from a previous body that is showing up, but it's irritating.  If you look at the selection pieces as you select letters, it's showing odd shapes, etc..

Here is the actual item:   http://a360.co/1QgCK7y

And here is a picture of the selection behavior.

Here you can see how it's selecting odd artifacts from something.  I don't know what it is.. but is this normal?  Is there a way to make sure everything is cleaned up from a file?  It seems as if it's finding junk that was left behind from somewhere.

Thanks for all your help and comments.

This bug was introduced some when after 15 February this year. I helped @dregalia2014 a bit on his design and still have a copy from then that work OK. If I open that design in the current version of Fusion it will not regenerate the tool paths because the latest version of Fusion is not able to select the edges of the surfaces correctly anymore.
