I am trying to import CATIA product and part files into Fusion.  They are linked to a series of crg files and when I open them all I cannot open the files in Fusion. Has anyone experienced this issue or know of a resolution?

Do you mean a CATIA CGR (Catia Graphical Representation) file? I believe that only the CATPart and CATProduct files are be translated to a native Fusion 360 format. Does this answer your question?

Are you using the Data Panel > Upload command will send the file to the Autodesk Translation Service?  At this time, the following file formats are supported:

Auotdesk Alias (*.wire)
AutoCAD DWG Files (*.dwg)
Autodesk Fusion 360 Archive Files (*.f3d)
Autodesk Fusion 360 Toolpath Archive Files (*.cam360)
Autodesk Sim360 Archive Files (*.sim360)
Autodesk Inventor Files (*.ipt, *.iam)
CATIA V5 Files (*.CATProduct, *.CATPart)
DXF Files (*.dxf)
FBX (*.fbx)
IGES (*ige, *iges, *igs)
NX (*prt)
OBJ (*.obj)
Parasolid Binary Files (*.x_b)
Parasolid Text Files (*.x_t)
Pro/ENGINEER and Creo Parametric Files (*.asm, *.prt)
Pro/ENGINEER Granite Files (*.g)
Pro/ENGINEER Neutral Files(*.neu)
Rhino Files (*.3dm)
SAT/SMT Files (*.sab, *.sat, *.smb, *.smt)
SolidWorks Files (*.prt, *.asm, *.sldprt, *.sldasm)
STEP Files (*.ste, *.step, *.step
STL Files (*.stl)

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Hello,

crg files in catia is just a light visual representation of the 3D model. You can not do anything with that.

When you are on your product, right clic on part and load the model on representation menu. Now you can save and use the .catpart.
