Cardboard box design as Sheet Metal: create two matching 45 degrees flanges?

I'm new to metal sheet design and I'd like to use for a cardboard box design. I want to create two matching flanges in the same plane, each with a cutoff of 45 degrees, so that the do not interfere. See my screenshot below. I've created the first flange (in blue) by 1) creating the flange 2) unfold 3) sketch and extrude the triangular cutoff. If I try to do the same for the second flange (on the red face), it interferes with the blue flange before I can cut off. As a result, the design does not unfold, hence I can't perform the cut-off.

 

I've also tried to 1) unfold 2) add a sketch to the red flange face 3) create new flange. But Fusion needs to refold before I can create the new flange and then I'm in the same trouble.

 

I have added the *f3d file for referral

 

Anyone a suggestion how to approach this?

I may not have understood but if you create the side at the same time they will be mitered automatically, see attached. Also you should have created a sheet metal component first rather the create your part in the main component. Might be OK is you only need one body but still not good practice.
