DXF flat pattern export issue

Hi,

I would like to understand what I am doing wrong. As a beginner I would love to hear what would be the right approach to get proper dxf.

I am attaching the screenshot of flat pattern and dxf next to each other.

I tried to project the body in flat pattern to a sketch then save sketch to DXF and get better result. Is there a BUG in the Export DXF command?

Does look like a problem. As you seem to have autocad have you tried creating a 2d drawing then export as a DWG. You will need to extract the drawing from the drawing space if you still need it as a dxf though.

Flat pattern in Fusion's 2d drawing space, looks good.

Here in Rhino, extracted from the DWG, still looks good.

PS can you use the photo option to embed images please, don't attach them.

Here's the DXF from Rhino. Think it's the correct size, not sure Rhino reads the unit info in DWGs.

Hi,

I don't understand clearly if the export to dxf from file 'tbox v9.f3d'  | flat pattern view works for you?

I tried the suggested workaround and it also works.

Thank you

No exporting the export flat pattern as DXF doesn't work for me either. Using a 2d drawing seems a better option as line types come through as well.

I think the Export flat pattern as DXF could do with improving.
