Canvas becomes faded on new components

Hi, Fusion masters.

I'm new to the program, a student.

I've placed a canvas on the root (?) component, and it's clearly visible - so far so good.  When I add new components and work on them, the canvas becomes faded and it's hard for me to see my reference, any workaround for that?  I hope I don't need to set new canvas per component?

Hi @Anonymous,

This is the standard "dim other components when a component is active" behavior.  When you create the new component, it is immediately made active, which dims all other components.

You can turn this off by unchecking this setting in the preferences:
