It's not clear when zooming fails for you. Are you saying that it only fails during a command? Does it only fail during certain commands, you mentioned Move. Is Move the only command where you see this?
Not necessarily As I start to play with this I am unable to pinch (or spread fingers) to zoom. I mention that above (move function) because it's what comes to mind immediately and is the most frustrating moment for zoom to not work. But I can start a new drawing - have nothing in the work area an simply try zooming in and out with sporadic results. Interestingly, if you stop, lift your hand off the trackpad and try again you can SOMETIMES get it to work. It is just so weird I cannot fully understand. It is not limited to just one of my computers, it is a problem I see across all my laptops with trackpads.
Curious thing is that I have this problem regardless of what I use to control the cursor. Third party mouse or not - the response of the Fusion software is not right. I do not have this problem anywhere else but Fusion. So, to make it easier, we can narrow our focus to just the touchpad, as it is the chief problem - that is I have the problem with or without a 3rd party mouse.
Also, be sure you are on the latest version of Fusion. 2.0.2541
Yes
Next, what is your OS? 10.12 or 10.11?
10.12.1
Also, you mention that third party mice also cannot zoom. So if you make a screencast we should be able to see the mouse wheel events and lack of zooming. That would be very helpful. It's also helpful to see what is going on while you are doing this. For instance, you will lose zoom while the mouse is over the dialog, toolbar, browser, or anywhere but the modeling window. So a screencast would show us this too.
I'll try to put one together today.
Thanks and sorry for all the questions and trouble. You might represent a corner case that we did not test for, so this very specific information will be helpful to narrow down the possibilities.
I just hope I have put enough information above to provide more insight.
thanks!
