Cannot select profile for extrud or revolve

I'm taking the ME - Intro to CAD course and, when required to select the profile I drawed as indicated in the class tutorial, it only allows to select the corner portions of the sketch as the profile, instead of the internal one that defines the tire shape. An error message pops up indicating an illegal shape that does not allow to complete the revolve. I have revised the sketch looking for constrains or unclosed segments that could not let the profile to enclose and being defined. Please advise.

Can you attach the model you have so far (export as .f3d) and maybe also create a screencast ?

Without having an File -> Export I can only guess. And this guesses would be, that you

• haven't closed the upper part by adding a line
• haven't constrained the upper part of your profile to the outline (rectangle?). If this exists.

Hi there.

I found out what the mistake was. Instructor asked for snap the spline on
an inserted point. That fixed the spline at that point, instead of snapping
it onto the line. After figuring it out, I corrected it and worked out as
expected.
