Cannot save new designs.

New designs in Fusion 360 after the November 23rd update that is.

I cleared the cache and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling from scratch but I am finding that making a new design almost always fails to save.  Designs created before the 23rd seem to save updates ok.

Windows 7 64bit.

Can you post the diagnostic log files here? They may contain some further information that can help us dig a bit deeper into this.

Thanks,

Hi, I just discovered something new. I made a new project called "SaveTest" and I was able to save a couple of new designs in that project. I have mostly been working in the "Machine Shop > Fasteners" project. I have attached a diagnostic log.

Thank you for the diagnostic log files. I am looking into this issue further.

Is this issue still occurring? How many new designs have you tested with?

Can you try the following procedure as a test:

1. Create a New Design

2. Work Offline in Fusion 360

3. Save the design while in offline mode

4. Go online again.

Does the new design sync to the Machine Shop > Fasteners project?

Thanks,

Hi,

I had a look at the logs you provided and one reason for not being able to save the files might have to do with long file names. Windows has a 260 character limit for filepaths and some of your files could be hitting that limitation when you take into consideration the filepath.

In the last release we added some error checks for this because it used to cause other more subtle problems during uploads. That's why this behavior might be new.

Could you please try using shorter filenames and let us know if those succeed?

Thanks,

Saket

That does work but I cannot select sub folders of a project offline, so perhaps the name length is the issue.  I tried shortening the names of the folders and files.
Initially the save still failed, I tried making a new sub folder next to 'Fasteners' called 'f'.  The save command seemed to have no effect.  I deleted both folders, 'Fasteners' and 'f' and the cleared the cache.  After restarting and making a new 'Fasteners' folder I seem to be able to save files now.
I forgot to mention that I have 'Server Verification Warnings' after the last update as well, I don't know if that would even be related.  Exspecially since I seem to be able save with shorter names.
