Cannot delete solid orange lines in sketch

I believe the lines came from converting a mesh to sketch, but now that I've fitted lines to the sketch I don't need the orange lines yet I cannot delete them. How can I delete them? I can't even select them at the moment.

If you expand the sketch in the browser you can delete the mesh section if you no longer need it.

I should add you could just hide them just in case you need them again.
