Cannot delete objects in 123D Design

I just started using 123D Design and I cannot find any instructions on how to delete an object. any tips would be appreciated.

Of course I tried using the delete key, but it would not delete objects.

However I just created a new project and the 2 objects I created can be deleted.  

I think that in the first project I created and modified many objects and then the delete key did not work.
