Cannot delete components that are not used

I've seen several posts about this, going back several years. I'm hoping somewhere along the line there's been a solution implemented but I'm not finding it. So here's my situation:

I build several components that then go into sub-assemblies which then go together into one big assembly. During the process of making those sub-assemblies, I often redesign a part, sometimes a whole new part from scratch, and then use the 'Replace Component' option in the assembly browser. Inevitably I end up with components that are no longer used anywhere. I'm trying to delete them and I get the dreaded 'A version of this design has been referenced by drawings, other designs, or manufacturing-related files and cannot be deleted.'

I have gone through every single file, sub-asembly, and final assembly to find WHERE I may have it linked to still ... and they're not anywhere. But Fusion will not allow me to delete them. Trying to do it online also tells me the same thing. So how do I get rid of these files from the project? I understand that one "option" is to put them in a Trash folder, somewhat 'out of sight, out of mind' but to me that's not a proper solution. There has to be a way to delete these files that doesn't require me to potentially delete (all) assemblies and starting over.

If you use Team Storage, give this Blog Article and Video a try.

I'm on Fusion Personal (free). I don't think Team Storage is an option here.

Yes, it is the storage method of choice.  You create your Team here.  After you create a Team you will want to use this website to migrate your files from Single User Storage to Teams.
